Oftentimes, the formation of acne is inevitable, but they may come and go. Unfortunately, they leave something behind that is undesirable. And while some scars do fade away in time, others prefer to stay for good. Some people may have time to wait for the scars to fade away; others just cannot have that liberty and need to have these unsightly acne scars removed right away. Removing acne scars overnight may seem impossible to do, but it is actually possible, however it could be rather difficult. Finding one of the top acne scar creams or using the methods below have proven to work.
Dermabrasion and microdermabrasion are cosmetic procedures which can help to remove your acne scars. They work by removing your outer skin layer to expose a new layer of skin. This method works by sanding off the affected skin, but this may only be applicable to mild and moderate acne scars. For severe acne scars, you may need other removal methods.
Chemical Peels work only for mild and moderate acne scars. This method works by applying peeling solutions to remove the outer skin layer and allow a new layer of healthy skin to surface. You have to subject yourself to several sessions before there could be a noticeable result. The more commonly used chemicals to serve this purpose are the alpha hydroxyl acids and retinol. This method is not suitable for those having sensitive skin, since the chemicals could irritate the skin and worsen the condition of your skin.
The recent technology used for more severe acne scars is by using the laser treatment. This method is not an overnight remedy for acne scars, but could produce better results in just a few weeks and acts faster than other alternative methods.
You could also try using freshly squeezed lemon juice. This juice naturally contains skin bleaching capabilities and has the capability to lighten the appearance of the acne scars. Mix lemon juice with water on a ratio of 1:1 and use this solution to apply onto your scars. Let it stand for 15 – 20 minutes before rinsing off with water. You can also opt to use the solution as a mask and let it stand overnight. Rinse off the solution from your face first thing as you wake up and moisturize. The lemon contains citric acid, which could dry your skin. Aside from lemon juice, lime juice can also be used.
Use baking soda
This method will help lighten the appearance of your acne scars. Combine 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 teaspoons water and make a paste. Use this paste on your face and massage into the affected areas in circular motions within 2 minutes. Using warm water, rinse off the paste from your face. With a clean towel, pat dry your skin. Or you can directly use this paste on the holes or acne scars and let stand for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse off your face afterwards.
